International School,
Tianjin (IST) is a co-educational day school founded in 1994. The
school has an international curriculum, serving expatriate students
in Nursery through Grade 12. International School, Tianjin (IST)
is authorized to teach the International Baccalaureate Middle Years
Programme and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
The school plans to implement the International Baccalaureate Primary
Years Programme. English is the medium of instruction and the school
provides ESL and individual needs support.

In addition to core
subjects, the school provides specialist instruction in art, Chinese,
music and physical education. An extensive extracurricular activities
programmme is available to students.
International School, Tianjin is located on a superb purpose built
campus opened in 2001. Features include 30 classrooms, an excellent
library, two science laboratories, networked computer facilities,
a cafeteria and art, music and stage facilities. There are excellent
sports facilities including a gymnasium, a 400 metre track and a
full size soccer field. There are plans to expand these facilities
in the near future.
The International School, Tianjin (TIST) year runs from late August
to mid-June. Enrolment is open to all expatriate children and applications
for admission are accepted throughout the year. TIST is accredited
by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
