INTRODUCTION
Ever since it started its training and education programs, Yayasan Bina Nusantara (the Bina Nusantara Foundation) has always made every effort to develop and operate an internationally orientated teaching institution providing Pre-School to Post-Graduate Programs. From its humble beginnings as a Computer-Training Course, Bina Nusantara has evolved within two decades into a multi-faceted educational environment.

One of its latest development, the Bina Nusantara School, is a co-educational, multi-denominational day school centrally located in Simprug, Jakarta Selatan is and easily accessible from the major residential areas of the city and surrounds. Opened in July 2003, the new Pre-School to Senior High School campus of Bina Nusantara School offers students a modern and fully equipped educational institution.

Founded in 1998 as a Senior High School and an early pioneer of the Indonesian Association of National Plus Schools, Bina Nusantara School is accredited by both the Curriculum Council of Western Australia and by the Indonesian Departemen Pendidikan Nasional. The School is open to Indonesian and expatriate students with the dominant language of instruction being English. Typically, the subjects of PPKN, Religion and Bahasa Indonesia are taught in Bahasa Indonesia.

Using a unique blend of Western Australian Junior and Senior Curriculum, provided by the Curriculum Council of Western Australia, and the Indonesia National Curriculum, the School offers all students the opportunity to explore their potential and interests. The academic curriculum and extra-curricula programs aim at developing each child intellectually, physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually. In the Elementary and Middle Schools, students are exposed to a broad range of subjects designed to provide a strong foundation and informed choices for more specialized senior studies according to individual aptitude, interests and desired career path.

Bina Nusantara School provides international standard teaching, learning and sporting facilities including full air-conditioning to all areas, colorful and bright classrooms, discipline-specific science laboratories, computer laboratories designed for all age groups, a spacious and fully resourced library, indoor basketball and badminton centers, a music instruction facility, and a visual and performing arts center. Student support services include a counselling and guidance service, access to photocopying, health clinics in each of the Pre-School/Elementary School, Middle School and High School areas, and fully reticulated Internet and audio-visual cabling throughout all buildings.

We believe that the curriculum and facilities, combined with small class sizes, experienced and well-qualified teaching and support staff, and the Bina Nusantara commitment to excellence provide a unique educational opportunity for students of all ages.
