Since its establishment by Mr Bahattin Tatis, Özel Turk Lisesi
has built a reputation based on its high standards of education. Students
may enter the school at kindergarten level and continue until age
18. The stringent academic structure ensures that the vast majority
of students go on to higher education either in Turkey or abroad.
The school, Izmir Özel Türk Lisesi is situated over two
campuses and includes facilities such as four indoor gymnasiums,
fitness centre, outdoor courts, a theatre and numerous conference
halls, internet cafe as well as nine state of the art science laboratories.
Students at Izmir Özel Türk Lisesi are encouraged to
take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities through
clubs and committees, chess club, newspaper clubs and a sailing
club. The school was also chosen as Turkey's representative for
the Model European Parliament this year.
In addition to the above the school Izmir Özel Türk Lisesi
holds an annual summer school program encompassing both academic
subjects and clubs and sporting activities.
