American College Arcus. American College Arcus opened in September 2003 in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. The staff aims at the development of a healthy and inspiring working environment. The curriculum was designed on the basis of rigid academic requirements, combined with strict internal rules and regulations, and its objectives are to help the students to achieve high levels of proficiency in English, German, math, natural and social sciences. Both the curricular and extracurricular activities have been planned to help the students to develop the knowledge that will make them responsible citizens. It includes oral and written communicative skills, logical and creative thinking, computer literacy, aesthetic values, awareness of environmental issues, respect for different people and cultures, ability to take personal and social responsibility, necessity for lifelong learning and keeping fit. Private specialized high school "American college-Arcus" V. Turnovo is a licensed institution of secondary education teaching students from grades 8 through 12.

The school's curriculum is approved by the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science. After the first preparatory year a student will be placed in one of two areas of concentration - foreign languages or computing. From grade 9 all the subjects are taught in English except for Bulgarian language and literature. From grade 9 all students study Hebrew as their third foreign language. American College Arcus is certified according to the international quality standard ISO 9001:2000 and has been granted with a certificate by ANAB - the sole federal standardizing body of the USA. The aim of the staff is to help the students to become well-rounded individuals with a keen sense of citizenry by means of rigid academic expectations. ACA's priorities are: -
