Hazlet School is located in Southwest Saskatchewan in a rural setting.
Hazlet school is a public school for children aged 5-18. The international
component of the school was established in 2005.
CURRICULUM
Hazlet School offers a full complement of courses following the
Saskatchewan CANADA curriculum. We also offer English as a Second
Language courses for credit. Hazlet School specializes in the areas
of the sciences, theatre arts, outdoor education and choir. The
school is highly technologically advanced and students are provided
with laptops as part of the tuition.
STAFF
Hazlet School has 6 professional staff and 5 support personnel.
All teachers are qualified and subject area specialists. A trained
English as a Second Language instructor provides daily ESL instruction
in a small group setting.
FACILITIES
Hazlet School has a gymnasium, and outdoor sports grounds, access
to a skating and curling rink, a full library, and two computer
labs. We also have a science lab and access to several field study
locations for scientific research. We are located close to several
areas that allow us to maintain a challenging outdoor education
program including, hiking, canoeing and camping.
SCHOOL YEAR AND SCHOOL DAY
The School yar runs from August 28th to June 30th with holidays
for Christmas and Easter. The school day is from 9:00AM to 3:20PM.
The school day consists of 6-50 minute periods of study.
EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
The educational philosophy of Hazlet School is to provide students
a quality education that focuses on experiential learning in a setting
where the students individual needs are met. We are very proud of
the wide array of programs on offer at Hazlet School.
