the Sydney Church of England Co-educational Grammar School, Redlands
there is a tri-partite approach: curriculum; co-curriculum and sport.
The curriculum provides mainstream subjects, reflecting both the
requirements of statutory authorities in New South Wales and the
requirements of internationally-recognized education models. The
co-curriculum provides a practical adjunct to and reinforcement
of the curriculum. Vocational and personal skills develop in students
through weekly activities. Outdoor education, curriculum camps,
field study, travel abroad, the Duke of Edinburgh and Challenge
programmes draw on the curriculum and co-curriculum for content,
planning and procedure. A wide choice of sports forms part of every
student's training and education. From this element of the school's
teaching come concepts of team spirit, individual challenge, self-discipline,
courage, physical skill and self-confidence at Sydney Church of
