QSI International School of Kabul a non-profit institution which
opened in August 2003, offers high quality education in the English
language for elementary students (5) years through seventeen (17)
years of age. A part-day preschool program will be offered with
a minimum of five students registered.
The QSI International School of Kabul's educational philosophy,
which includes a personalized approach to instruction, leads to
teaching for mastery. We believe in success for all students. We
seek to create a positive learning environment since we believe
a child learns more if he enjoys his learning experience.
THE PRIMARY PURPOSE of the QSI International School of Kabul is
to meet the needs of the children in Kabul who require this type
of education with a view to continuing their education in their
home countries with a minimum of adjustment problems. In addition
to its scholastic goals, the school endeavors to provide its students
with knowledge of Afghanistan.
THE CURRICULUM at QSI International School of Kabul includes English
(reading, grammar, composition, and spelling), Mathematics, Cultural
Studies (history, geography), Science (physical, life, and earth),
Art, Music, and Physical Education. Intensive English classes are
offered to students who need additional help with English. Computer
use is integrated across the curriculum. The school seeks to provide
students with an appreciation for the rich culture and history of
Afghanistan. Materials and equipment are up to date and of high
quality. Class sizes are small. Native English speaking experienced
teachers are employed.
The secondary program, for students ages 14-17 at QSI International
School of Kabul, will include a combination of classes offered by
QSI Int'l School of Kabul and distance learning classes through
the University of Nebraska.
