The Aga Khan Education Service, Tanzania (AKES,T) aims at providing quality education that will impart broad knowledge and develop independent and critical thinking skills. Students are prepared to acquire values and life skills that will enable them to face future technological advancement. Provision of high quality service can only be accomplished through motivated staff development programmes and sound human resource management policies. AKES,T has invested heavily in human and financial resources through:

in-house staff development programmes related to teaching methodologies, updating teachers' subject knowledge and curriculum development in collaboration with international schools and universities;

provision of a wide range of sporting activities; and updating the libraries and information technology systems as teaching and learning tools.

The school aims to become a Centre of Excellence by transforming its academic programme into an academy. The school aims to offer the IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate programmes.
