The Brent International School - Manila was established in 1984 and
is an international co-educational day school, associated with the
Episcopal Church in the Philippines. Brent is located on two campuses:
Mamplasan in the south (N-12) and the current site in Pasig City (N-8).
Brent International School - Manila's academic year usually starts
in the second week of August and ends in the last week of May, with
a three-week Christmas break and a one-week Easter break.
For grades 1-12 students, the Brent International School - Manila
day begins at 07:30 and ends at 14:30. Facilities at both campuses
include a multi-purpose center, cafeteria, infirmary, covered play
area, tennis court, science labs, computer labs, swimming pools,
library and audio-visual centers, chapel, amphitheater, soccer field,
covered gymnasium, band rooms and music rooms. All classrooms are
air-conditioned. Both campuses have the latest in educational materials
and technology.
Brent International School - Manila is a college-preparatory educational
institution. All efforts of teaching and curriculum design are directed
towards adequately preparing students to enter a college or university
of their choice. College preparation is the school's primary and
essential goal. Special courses for non-college-oriented students
are not offered. Through its affiliation with the International
Baccalaureate Programme, Brent International School - Manila offers
the possibility for its students to obtain, besides its own diploma,
an IB diploma, which is recognized by many nations as means to university
entrance worldwide. There is a small amount of available financial
aid which can be granted in terms of discounts to families with
proven financial need. Requests for such aid, together with supporting
documents, should be sent to the Headmaster, whose decision is final.
