Qatar Academy

Qatar Academy was founded in 1996 under the auspices of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development. It occupies a world-class, purpose-built facility on located on the outskirts of Doha, the capital of Qatar.

Qatar Academy is one of the largest English speaking schools in Doha with a student enrolment of over 870 from pre-school to grade 12. It comprises of the Primary School - which takes students from Pre-School 3 to grade 5 - and the Senior School - which takes students from grade 6 to grade 12.

Qatar Academy is developing an international curriculum that incorporates the culture, language and influences of the host country. The senior school offers the IB Diploma programme and the Primary School is implementing the Primary Years Programme, with authorization expected in 2004. The senior school implemented the Middle Years Programme from September 2003.

The campus includes state-of-the-art science laboratories, fully equipped technology suites, arts suites, a sports complex with 50-metre pool, a first-class performing arts auditorium, and libraries with full multi-media facilities. The Academy offers small class sizes, spacious classrooms, and a well-qualified and experienced expatriate faculty. Educational support services to Qatar Academy are provided by The Learning Center, located on the same campus.

The Qatar Academy is open to qualified students of all nationalities regardless of race, color, religion or ethnic background.
