Westlake Academy
The Westlake Academy opened in the Fall of 2003 as a Texas Open Enrollment
Public Charter School. The Westlake Academy is committed to delivering
an exemplary international education to public school students of
the Town of Westlake with a focus on additional languages, inquiry-based
learning and developing the whole child. Westlake Academy will follow
the International Baccalaureate Programmes: Primary Years Programme,
Middle Years Programme and Diploma Program, seeking official authorization
by the IBO when eligible. The Westlake Academy will serve ages 5-13
(KG-7) in 2004-5, and continue to expand each year through 2009 when
it will serve ages 5-18 (Grades K-12).
