Khalifa School
Khalifa School was founded in 1993 and offers education for children with special needs. The school believes that every person has the fundamental right to be educated and enables the children to reach their fullest potential. The Khalifa School serves the needs of a wide variety of special needs and has an open-door policy of accommodating children irrespective of age, nationality and disability. The Khalifa School follows a multilevel adaptation programme to accommodate widely varying skill levels within a learning group or class of children. The curriculum of the school is an effort to develop a systematic organization of instructional content and related activities so as to provide students with a sequence of meaningful learning experience. The objective of the designed curriculum for special needs at Khalifa School is to help children to attain personal adequacy, develop social competence and to achieve vocational efficiency. The Khalifa School's learning support programme offers physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech/language therapy and physical education.
