International School of Sarajevo
The International School of Sarajevo was opened in 1998 with the
approval of the Bosnia & Herzegovina Ministry of National Education.
The International School belongs to the Bosnia Sema Education Institutions.
The International School of Sarajevo is an educational institution
in which knowledge, talents and habits are acquired in classrooms
and laboratories, in accordance with the most modern education standards
world-wide.The school is attended by pupils from many continents,
and it has up to now been attended by pupils from more than thirty
countries all over the world.
The International school of Sarajevo's education programme comprises
a pre-school year and nine academic years. Subjects are taught in
English and Bosnian. English, mathematics, science, computer literacy
and cultural studies are taught in English; the Bosnian language,
art, music and physical training are taught in Bosnian. The curriculum
of the International School of Sarajevo integrates the Bosnian Primary
School curriculum and an international school curriculum (UK).
The classrooms for information technology are equipped with modern
computers and access to the Internet, while knowledge and skills
of speech communication in English language are taught with the
help of multimedia.
There is a doctor's office and children have regular dental examinations
at the International School of Sarajevo
Pupils are able to participate in various club activities, through
individual, sports, cultural and entertainment contents, thus ensuring
a high degree of educational content as specified by the educational
plan and programme which has been verified by the Canton and Federal
Ministry of Education and Science of Government of the Federation
of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In the modern restaurant of the International School of Sarajevo,
all the pupils have breakfast and lunch; and it is adjusted to the
age and the cuisine of the multinational environment.
