Memorandum on the admissions of students holding the IB Diploma 1) the admission of students holding the IB Diploma who meet the admissions requirements and qualifying courses of all faculties in Egyptian universities on condition that: a) they obtain a pass in the six main subjects in their diploma and b) one of those subjects be 'English' and c) they have submitted an Extended Essay and followed a Theory of Knowledge course. 2) that students with IB diplomas (with six main subjects) be registered in all university faculties/colleges in line with the following regulations: a) 'Arabic' studied in group 1 (Language A1) will be credited so that students who opted to take this IB subject will not have to sit for an exam in Arabic during the course of their study at university, though they do still have to sit an exam in Religious Studies. b) Students wishing to enrol on one of the following faculties (Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Nursing) must obtain a pass in the following subjects at Higher level (biology, chemistry)
3) These regulations will go into effect covering the admission of students at universities starting the academic year 2003/2004. The Secretary General of the SCU
