The Academic Program At schools in the SABIS® School Network, students are prepared
for a smooth transition from year to year through careful preparation
and planning. In the secondary school, SABIS® courses are of such
breadth and depth as to allow students to continue their studies successfully
at the best universities in the world.
Students very often obtain top marks in the external examinations
for which they are prepared. These examinations include the GCSE,
IGCSE, GCE O-Level, AS-Level and A-Level examinations of the British
system of education, and the TOEFL, SAT I, SAT II, and Advanced
Placement (AP) examinations of the American system of education.
As required, students are also prepared for the examinations needed
to obtain a High School Diploma. Students may prepare for these examinations separately or in different
combinations. The scope and flexibility of the curriculum give students
a better chance of success in these examinations, and, ultimately,
a wider choice of university and career. The Academic Year The academic year is divided into three terms. Within each term
there are times for regular instruction, for revision and for examinations.
During the period of regular instruction, students learn new material
in each of their subjects, following the pacing charts set by the
Administration. Revision time is also planned and paced; revision
is comprehensive but selective. End-of-term exams take place during
the last week of each term.
 End of Term Reports
Parents receive three reports a year; one at the end of each term.
The reports for each of the first two terms are an in-depth record
of performance over the term. The final end-of-year report shows
performance over the entire school year. It also includes important
              information relating to promotion.
