KIS International School

KIS is an authorised IB world school offering students a well-rounded, dynamic curriculum developed using the framework of the International Baccalaureate programmes. We equip students with the tools to master rigorous academic challenges in math, science, languages, literature and social sciences. Our international focus helps them tackle broader challenges whilst instilling global citizenship and individual integrity as they develop the skills to deal with life experiences. 
 
Green spaces and excellent facilities set on 16 acres and located within a secure village setting, just minutes away from the centre of Bangkok provide the ideal environment to inspire both our students and teachers. An active sports schedule, community service and beyond the classroom programmes, take students out into the world, while on campus they are involved in drama and music, art, journalism, cooking, gardening and debating   amongst many other activities!
 
The Primary Years Programme for ages 3   11 years is based on inquiry, exploration, good citizenship and action and uses organizing themes that encourage students to make connections and begin to make sense of the world around them.  Team Teaching, which is unique to KIS, allows students to benefit from the creativity, dedication, inspiration, and attention of two professional educators collaborating as facilitators of knowledge.  
 
Students aged 11-16 years study the Middle Years Programme (MYP).  The programme s holistic approach to a rigorous academic curriculum gives students the confidence and skills to succeed both in school and in life. The MYP promotes independence and responsibility, encourages creativity, cooperation and compassion with the aim of developing young adults who not only think about world problems but take action to rectify them.  
 
In 2008, KIS students will graduate from the MYP to the IB Diploma Programme (DP), a comprehensive and intellectually stimulating course of study recognized by colleges and universities around the world.  Our MYP instruction is geared towards ensuring success when our first students leave KIS as IB Diploma graduates in 2010.
