INTRODUCTION: Magic Years Preschool was founded in 1991 with the goal of providing quality education in a warm, caring environment. The school recently moved to a new, spacious campus in a quiet neighborhood in the Muang Thong Thani suburb. Programs are designed for ages 10 months to 6 years and include part-time, full-time and extended hours to accommodate parents' needs. Free van service is provided for Nichada Thani residents. The school is recognized as an international kindergarten by the Thai Ministry of Education.

CURRICULUM
Magic Years is the only kindergarten in Thailand to offer the IB PYP curriculum, which emphasizes the "ideals of international understanding and responsible citizenship." This curriculum has been adapted specifically for Magic Years in collaboration with IBO staff over a two-year period.

STAFF
Magic Years employs English-speaking teachers from a wide range of nationalities. Only teachers with significant work experience and academic credentials are hired. The qualities we look for when hiring staff includes a loving and nurturing attitude towards children. Their intelligence and individual initiative are sources of inspiration in the school. The ongoing training given to the staff helps bring out their potential, which in turn brings out the best in children.

FACILITIES
Magic Years recently moved to a brand new campus which includes a full-sized shaded playground, swimming pool, indoor gym, cafeteria, Thai studies room, library, wood-working area, art studio, gardening plot and 7 large classrooms.

SCHOOL YEAR AND SCHOOL DAY
One of the school s strengths is the Mommies and Me class, which assists parents in learning the developmentally-appropriate way to raise their young children.
Preschool and kindergarten classes each have 1 teacher and 1 assistant teacher. A low student-teacher ratio of 6:1 provides individual attention for each child.
Extra-curricular activities include swimming, gymnastics, soccer, dance, Taekwondo, English as a Second Language, Thai language and Thai dance.

EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Based on the concept that children are like tender plants that need nurturing, cherishing and guiding, the school endeavors to provide the children with an environment that is developmental and where the teaching style is responsive to their ages and individual differences.
The children are taught in small groups. This allows the teachers to pay individual attention to each child and to gauge each child's progress. Encouragement plays a major role in the developmental process. Children's positive efforts will be praised, encouraged and enhanced.
